Samsung latest smartphone, the Note 4, came with a sophisticated S Pen. This S Pen simulates a finger touch, tap or swipe to provide a full, touch-screen environment without leaving a single fingerprint behind. It was also easy to use and gave users complete precision over their mobile phone. Samsung wanted to highlight all these wonderful benefits of the S Pen, but without the ability to try it physically, how do we convince users about all these features?
We wanted users to experience the high-end features of the S Pen, therefore we built a series of responsive expandable ads that did just that. For the execution, once the user clicked on the ad, a custom page takeover will appear and the mouse cursor will turn into the S Pen. The user can then choose to select and crop or write on the page content. The experience is liken to using the S Pen on your mobile phone in real life, so users were able to discover how it enriches the Note 4 experience.
